Xavian Tate, the esteemed CEO of Light of the World, is a dedicated mental health entrepreneur hailing from Anniston, Alabama. With a genuine passion for people and a strong commitment to his community, Xavian's journey in higher education has been focused on advancing mental health awareness and support. Xavian earned his Bachelor of Science in Mental Health Psychology from the esteemed University of Alabama at Birmingham. Alongside his major, he pursued an Interdisciplinary minor in S.T.E.A.M. Education, recognizing the importance of integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics into mental health practices. This unique combination allowed him to develop a holistic understanding of mental health and its intersection with various disciplines. Building on his educational foundation, Xavian is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Social Work, further expanding his knowledge and skills to make a greater impact in the field.

 

During his undergraduate studies, he received accolades as the Blazer Male Excellence Network Mentor of the Year 2017-2018, showcasing his dedication to mentoring and guiding others. Passionate about education and community engagement, Xavian actively contributed to UABTEACH by teaching STEM Education to 5th-10th grade students. His commitment to empowering the next generation through education is a testament to his belief in the transformative power of knowledge.  Xavian also served on the Student Counseling Services' Student Mental Health Advisory Board and Mental Health Ambassadors' Artists in Medicine team. Xavian's dedication extends beyond the classroom, as he serves as a staff advisor for UAB TRIO's Student Advisory Council, providing guidance and support to aspiring students. Additionally, he held significant roles within the President's Wellbeing Collaborative, Graduate Student Government, and ASPARC (Alabama Suicide Prevention and Resource Coalition), working tirelessly to address mental health challenges and promote suicide prevention.

 

As the CEO of Light of the World, Xavian spearheads the organization's innovative approaches to shine a light on mental health and illness. With a steadfast vision and exceptional leadership skills, he provides strategic guidance and direction, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of the industry. Xavian also takes on the responsibility of overseeing outreach efforts, forging partnerships, and cultivating collaborations to extend the reach and impact of Light of the World's initiatives. Additionally, as the CEO, he composes workshops and designs programs that facilitate professional and personal development, empowering individuals and organizations with the knowledge and tools necessary for promoting mental well-being.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Xavian finds solace and inspiration by singing Broadway songs, immersing himself in gaming, spending quality time with loved ones, and enjoying the world of anime. These hobbies not only offer him a well-deserved break but also contribute to his personal well-being and recharge his creative spirit.

Daniel Washington

Chief Operating Officer

Daniel is our esteemed Chief Operating Officer, bringing a wealth of expertise and knowledge to our organization. With an associate degree in Liberal Arts, concentrating in Music Composition and Theory, he possesses a solid foundation in music theory, audio recording, and production techniques.

With over 10 years of leadership experience in customer service and entrepreneurship, Daniel has honed his skills in effective communication, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making. His proficiency in these areas has been instrumental in driving success in his previous roles.

​

Daniel's passion for audio engineering spans over 15 years, during which he has developed a keen understanding of sound mixing, mastering, and equipment optimization. This expertise ensures that our organization consistently delivers exceptional sound quality across various platforms and mediums.

​

Moreover, Daniel cherishes the time spent with friends, engaging in meaningful conversations and fostering deep connections. He also finds fulfillment in teaching others about the Word of God, sharing his faith, and providing spiritual guidance within a Christian context, including Christian counseling.

​

In addition to his professional pursuits, Daniel finds solace and relaxation in playing video games, exploring new music instruments, and immersing himself in literature.

Stacia Tate
Behavioral Health Practitioner

Chief Training Officer

Stacia, also known as Sha-Sha Da Dweeb, is a firm believer in the importance of representation, particularly aiming for what she refers to as S-Tier receipts. She tirelessly advocates for authentic and inclusive portrayals of diverse voices and identities across various forms of media, recognizing the profound impact it has on shaping perceptions and empowering underrepresented communities. 

Stacia Tate is from Birmingham, AL, and has over 20 years of professional and personal experience in mental health, as well as 10 years in administration and marketing. She holds a career tech diploma specializing in Marketing and Business Production. Stacia has also tutored and assisted people with their English papers and contracts, consistently receiving rave reviews. In various industries, she has demonstrated exceptional customer service and work ethic, earning recognition as Employee of the Month multiple times in the corporate sector. 

As the Chief Training Officer, Stacia co-facilitates QPR Training and additional Mental Wellness Education workshops. Drawing from her lived experiences with mental illness, she empowers her community one step at a time, using her story to inspire and educate others. Stacia holds a variety of licenses, including those in mental health, Crisis Prevention Intervention, and Nurse Delegation. 

Additionally, she is the founder of S-Tier Productions, where she educates listeners on various mental health and wellbeing topics. Stacia is featured and recognized in ShoutOut Atlanta for her work as a podcaster and mental health advocate. Her self-care activities include traveling, vlogging, singing, writing poetry, and watching anime.

Christian Wilson, MA

Human Resources Officer

Presenting Christian Wilson, our Human Resources Officer. 

Hailing from White Plains, Maryland, Christian holds a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Philosophy concentration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Christian's educational background equips him with the necessary expertise to provide valuable counseling support within our organization.

During his undergraduate studies, Christian was engaged in various leadership roles and activities. He was a member of the Good Games UAB leadership team, actively contributing to the promotion of gaming and fostering a positive gaming community. He also was a member within the Blazer Male Excellence Network. Furthermore, Christian showcased his creativity and storytelling skills as a Dungeon Master, guiding memorable gaming experiences. For over four years, he represented the Kami-Con Volunteer Leadership team, immersing himself further in the world of anime and gaming. He even had the opportunity to educate students on balancing emotional frustration (Tilt) when indulging in gaming along with his professor and role model, Dr. Gampher.

As our Human Resource Officer, Christian's primary responsibility is to ensure the wellbeing of our team. He provides guidance and support to foster a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, Christian actively contributes to the development and implementation of educational and outreach programming and curriculum. His insights and expertise help us create impactful initiatives that address mental health and promote overall well-being.

Outside of his professional role, Christian prioritizes his own self-care as an essential aspect of his well-being. He finds joy in cooking, reading, and writing, which allow him to unwind and explore his creative side. Asian cuisine holds a special place in his heart, and he savors the flavors and experiences culinary delights from this region. Christian also finds relaxation and enjoyment in playing his two favorite esports games, League of Legends and Enter the Gungeon, connecting with his passion for gaming and finding moments of stress relief and leisure.

Gabrielle Blue, B.S.

Chief Marketing Officer

Introducing Gabrielle Blue, our dynamic Chief Marketing Officer hailing from the heart of Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Social Work, Gabrielle brings a wealth of academic knowledge and a compassionate spirit to her role at Light of the World LLC and the STEAM Enlightenment Foundation

 

Gabrielle is not just an intern; she's a Certified Wellness Peer Educator, a testament to her commitment to promoting holistic well-being. Her experience extends beyond the academic realm, as she has provided crucial support to individuals in crisis through the Crisis Text Line.

 

As our Social Media and Anime Convention Liaison, Gabrielle infuses her genuine passion for mental health with her love for community engagement. Whether she's crafting compelling social media content or representing us at anime conventions, Gabrielle's presence adds a personal touch to our outreach efforts.

 

Amid her professional pursuits, Gabrielle finds solace in the world of anime, video games, and the meditative art of crocheting. These self-care hobbies not only reflect her diverse interests but also highlight her understanding of the importance of balance and personal well-being. Outside of her busy schedule, Gabrielle cherishes moments with her family, emphasizing the significance of connection and relationships in her life.
